Uncle B’s Birthday

J was at the doctor today for his 3 month check up. He is 13 pounds 1 ounce, his head is 16 inches, and his lenght is 23inches. He has a lovely round head as everyone keeps telling me. He’s doing fine.

We celebrated Uncle B’s birthday at the local Thai restaurant. After we had cake at our house. Z and R played dress up together. It was cute to see.

Mummy-paparrazi

R and her little cousin were outside today, so I grabbed the camera (so did Auntie V!) and went to click. I just sorted through the oh, 280 or so pictures, and came up with just one for you for the moment. I will have to put up a gallery, as there are some oh-so-cute-ones. I am proud to say I made the dress R is wearing. She was in camp for part of the day last week, and it took me all that time and a bit more to sew! Well, I am very glad it is done.

Two cuties

Look at these sweet cousins! Auntie V invited us over for a lovely dinner, and R and Z had a good time together.

Check this out!

Doesn’t that quiche look amazing! Thank you Uncle B!! It tasted fantastic.

So R says today, “Once upon a time I went to a store called ‘Uncle Store’, and I choose the best Uncle, I choose you Uncle B!
Isn’t that just the sweetest!! What a cutie.

Swinty

I’ve coined a new term. Swinty is a combination of sweaty + linty. Hence swinty. This applies to darling Zoya. She has lovely rolls under her chin, and she gets all sweaty, then combined with lint, it becomes swinty! She’s also got serious swinty in her hands as she seems to clutch her hands tightly. So, feel free to use my term!

Cuteness itself

Need I say more? This neice of mine is cuteness herself.

Waiting on the edge…

Well, today is day 121 of waiting to hear from our Social worker about our referral. It’s crappy. Enough said. Well R is also feeling the wait. She tells daddy today at bedtime, “When people say you are going to get a referral, and you don’t get one, that’s not nice”… Out of the mouth of babes.

R is pretty funny. She is highly unmotivated to get dressed, or dressed in winter clothes these days. So after she brushed her teeth, she is in our bedroom, getting her pjs on quick as a wink. I asked her what the rush was, she said “Daddy said we could go see Z in her bath” (Z is 13 weeks). I said “I don’t think daddy said that”, and she insisted, “Yes he DID”. Daddy walks in, and tells her that actually he never said that. She gets irrate, and yells at the top of her lungs “TELL THE TRUTH DADDY” What a character.

We played out in the snow today. Yes SNOW. March 26, and do we have snow. The banks around our driveway are around 4-5 feet. Anyways. We still had a good time, R especially as she was eating snow.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Well daddy had a birthday today. Not much fun for him, as he had to work. Still we managed dinner out with the family. After a delicious dessert of coconut cream by (Birthday boy’s choice), we spent some time talking. Little Z made the rounds, sitting quite happily with Opa, and also with Oma. Later in the evening Z had some time in her new (previously owned) Bumbo seat. She was just too cute. Check out the gallery.

Colouring Easter Eggs

We coloured eggs today. I was quite worried this morning when I went grocery shopping, as they were all out of egg colouring kits! I quickly went to Michael’s and they were also out of the normal kits. I found one small kit “Ukrainian Colouring” kit. It was 4 times the price as the other packs, but it seems later it was quite worth it. The colours in the kit were super vivid. Unfortunately, it also ment that these dyes were hard to get off our hands! My finger still looks all red and yucky! I’m posting some pictures in a gallery. The last picture is of Uncle B and R having a ‘Picnic” on the floor. Uncle B is a good sport!

Z in the Hospital

Little Z is in the hospital with an unexplained fever. She seems to be doing better today, she may even get home tomorrow. I managed to snap a family picture while visiting. Note* both V and B complained that they had ‘hospital hair’. I told them that it was quite alright, as they were in a hospital.
