Trip to the Fire station

We had a field trip today with R’s preschool.  We went to a local fire station.   We had a neat demonstration of all their gear, and how they put it all on, then the kids got to climb around the trucks, and learned more about all the different parts of the fire engines.  It was quite exiting!

Finally!

Yes, I am finally posting our pictures from San Fransisco a few weeks ago.  Check them out in the galleries!  We had a wonderful day at Half Moon Bay on the beach, and most of the shots are from there.

Sunday School

Today I ran into R’s sunday school teacher after class.  She told me they were making Prayer chains today, loops of paper with words of what the kids were thankful for on them.  She told me R was thankful for Mummy (first!), Daddy, then Nova Scotia, ‘because that’s where my cousins live’.  How cute is that!

Noodles…mmmm

Today we had NOODLES for lunch.  R can’t resist these long noodles.  She ate pretty much the whole bowl! I must admit I love them because it’s a super easy lunch!

Lounging

R has a little cold.   This was established last night at the home of Grandma and Grandpa.  R got to spend the night with them…unfortunately she pulled one of her spectacularily bad nights with them!! She kept them up from 2am to 4am…I think the cold had something to do with it.   So today she flaked on the couch, which for those of you that know R, is VERY unusual!

Pictures from Glen Haven

Oma & Opa made the long trek to Glen Haven NS for easter.  Here are some of the pictures.

Easter at Grandma & Grandpas

We had a lovely Easter dinner with Grandma & Grandpa.  We went over after nap, and R had yet another egg hunt.  Grandma also had some Easter treats for her.  She and grandpa had a good time carving the turkey.  The sugar rush was in full swing by the time we left, and boy did it take her a long time to settle down for night!

Egg Hunt

Well.  I thought last year’s Easter egg hunt was cold, I was mistaken.   This year we hunted through a few centimetres of snow!! And let me tell you it was cold, very windy.  Still, R found her eggs in record time, then traded the 12 for a toy.  This year she got a new skipping rope and gardening gloves.  We also had a mini hunt at home.  She really liked this, as we hid plastic eggs with small M&M treats inside.

Palm Sunday

Today was Palm Sunday, and the children at our church walked around the sanctuary while the congregation sang the opening hymn.  It was very sweet seeing them all waving palm branches.
