R sings happy birthday for M.
I started of my birthday week-end extravaganze with an evening with the women in my life. That sounds a bit more sophisticated than “the girls”, cause we’re not really girls, especially when I’m looking to turn 35 in a few days. Anyways.  It was an awsome night.  Very good conversation was had (by all I believe). I think this will become a regular occurence. Thank you to all! Sorry, no picture!
R can’t read, but she likes to tell the story.
Yup, I met a celebrity today.  Well, I should qualify that. I met a Canadian celebrity. I should qualify that further, I met a Canadian kids CBC celebrity! Can you guess who?
We were fine dining after churhc with our friend Elinor (at Wendy’s).  A woman and her daughter came into the restaurant. I recalled having worked with the woman years ago in the mapping department.  She came in to sit beside me as I mapped out the local trails on our digital airphoto, as she regularily walked them with her daughter (who was about 2 at the time).  I remember meeting her daughter years ago during one of our meetings. We were trying to get some mapping done, and her daughter had a good time running around our meeting room.! Anyways. The celebrity was her daughter, Emily Yeung! Ok for those of you who have not been priviledged enough to see the show, check it out here.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/This_is_Emily_Yeung  The show is still on TV even though it only lasted one season.  It was neat to catch up with her mom.
We had a nice day today. We went shopping in TO and had a nice time.  Later we just spent the time together at home, making tacos and listening to music.  Afterwards R wanted a bath, so she had a good time, and i had a good time playing with my camera. Here are the results.
Update…here are the pre-cookie poses

I’m trying to improve my picture taking skills. It seem easiest to try on things that are stationary. If you have met my daughter, you’ll know why. Even with my digital SLR, I have a very very hard time of getting a nice picture of her! Most are blurry, or of the side or back of her! Anyways.  Here’s a picture of my new stained glass, up close.
