Halloween!

Halloween was fun. R dressed as a fairy god-mother, although she changed up her outfit and mind about the name! At school she was a fairy godmother with wings and a crown, she managed to stay the same for her trick-or-treating for daddy’s work. For the evening, she put on the wig and the medieval hat, but ditched the wings. She saw her neighbour friend C with a bridal dress, and from the on whenever someone asked her what she was she said ‘a bride’. Hillarious! She gathered quite the loot too. There are more pictures in the gallery.

My baby needs glasses…

Well, it was a big day. I thought we were going for an eye check, and it quickly became clear to me that R had trouble seeing in the distance. R was NOT pleased with the eye drops to dialate her eyes, but quickly bounced back. Anyways. After about 2 hours, they told me she would need glasses for distance. So R decided to pick out glasses that were……drum roll please……PINK. Well, I wasn’t thrilled, but hey she has to wear them. So the real pair will come in a few weeks, I’ll post a better picture. (pictures with the Blackberry are blurry)

Carving Pumpkins

Well we had a good time carving. It was very nice that Auntie V could be there with Z. R just had a good time playing with the pumpkin “goo”. She treated it like playdough. R drew the face on her own pumpkin, and daddy was good enough to carve it. I didn’t make it to carving my gourd, my arm was too sore. It was great fun.

It’s b-a-c-k….

Well, sort of. Sorry for the yucky picture!
It seems I now have tendonitis in my elbow-ish joint. My right arm hurts to pick up things, and any turning is nasty. I looked up my old physio (from those carpal tunnel years in 2001) and surprise surprise he is still at the old place! He punctured me with all those needles, and I felt better. Here’s hoping he can calm this inflamation down.

WIGGLES!!

Well, can you recognize the famous people in the blurry picture? Yup, it’s the Wiggles! We managed to see the Wiggles in London as our dear neighbour J offered us tickets. We all rode down together, and yes, it was very loud in the L-O-N-G car ride with loud stir-crazy children both ways! Still the concert was quite fun, and it was lovely to let R jump/dance/clap and sing at the top of her voice.

Thanksgiving at the Cabin

Grandma and Grandpa took R up to the Cabin on friday night to stay over. We drove up on Saturday. Wow. The fall colours were definately at their peak. It was so beautiful. Once at the cabin R had fun in the boats. She went around the lake with daddy, they had fun in the reeds, and she also went in grandpa’s motor boat. It’s a good thing i wasn’t there, as grandpa lets her speed the boat up and slow it down. You know, there are just somethings I should not know about. Let me say again how very beautiful the leaves were! It was so hard to capture on film, I could only try. After a delicious steak-thanksgiving dinner, we roasted marshmallows. I stopped counting when R was on her 4th. What’s a mummy to do? She was so very tired she fell asleep in the car anyways. What a nice time. There is a gallery for your enjoyment.

They crack each other up

These two girls seem to be best friends these days. They play together at kindergarten, and R always talks about her friend N. Here they are goofing around, and laughing at something that they talked about at school.
