Gray shirts + DQ ice cream = family tradition

A few year ago a strange family tradition started. Once a summer we wear gray shirts and have an ice cream at DQ. It’s neat to see the development from year to year. While the little J man didn’t partake of ice cream this year, he was still there posing with daddy’s cone!

Josephine

Josie died today. We knew she had been going downhill, but still it is a shock. We’ll miss her.

The cousins are here…

The boy cousins are here! On my side of the family R and J only have 2 boy cousins. On daddy’s side of the family there are only girls. Anyways. They are here. The kids are enjoying ice cream in this picture. It was a nice day to eat outside. J tried watermelon for the first time. He wasn’t so sure how to manage holding the piece and biting. He had the same problem with corn on the cob, but he’s learned how to manage that now.

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Auntie V!! We had a nice celebration today. Auntie V was even a good sport and wore the Ikea birthday hat!

Another one gone…

R lost her second tooth today. She lost it at camp in the morning, but I belive she actually pulled it out herself! I’m impressed. I would never have done that! She doesn’t have much of a gap, as the adult tooth for the other side is almost in.

The times, they are a’ changing

Well, the end of an era. The little J man is such a content little guy, up until now he has been most content to lay on the change table and bat at his mobile. He just started twisting, and turning towards the wall. He is fascinated by the lovely barnyard theme boarder I painted on the wall. Still, no more leaving him on there unattended!

J is up

He cried about an hour after being asleep. He was all stuffy. So he stayed up with us for a bit. He played with a stuffed bear on daddy’s lap for a while, ‘pet’ Cedes the cat. When I say ‘Pet’ is means tap her, then grab some fur and pull. Surprisingly she seems ok with that.
