Round 3, or is it 4??

Yup, we are all sick yet again. I can’t even keep track of how much we’ve been sick since mid January. Now daddy has stomach issues, R is running a fever, J is teething, and just not content, and I feel like I’ve been run over by a big truck. Not only that, but it seems I can’t sleep. I finally decided that I might be tired enough at 12am to sleep, and at 12:02 am I was off to comfort R who was crying. I got her settled, and with a book I was ready to sit in her room until she fell asleep when I heard J crying. So off I went to comfort him. I finally snuck out of his room at 12:29am, when R was back at it. So I was back in her room for about 15 minutes until I heard J crying again. Sigh. While i was in with him, R was up again, and daddy relented and said she could come to our bed. Well, it seems she also has some sort of insomnia going. Just as I was about to drift off, she touched me, and I jerked awake. This went on for about 1/2 hr, then I just decided to get up. And here I am, blogging at 2:14am. Nasty. I think tomorrow will also be nasty with all of us being sleep deprived…
Tacos and such

Cousin L was over today. Apparently she had never had a taco before, so we made her try one. We think she cheated, as she didn’t put anything runny in it, so she was pretty tidy. She also tried advocado for ther first time, but she wasn’t thrilled with that.
In the afternoon daddy and R built a snowman outside. The temperature was above zero today, the first time in a L-O-N-G time. J went out for a short time too. Here are the pics.

Haircut!

R got a hair cut today. It was high time. She wasn’t too thrilled about it, but perked up after when she realized that she could still put her hair in ponies. After we got to celebrate my birthday with the Enns’. Here is a picture of my cute niece winking!
J had fun today playing with a doorstop. I remember that phase with R too…sigh.

Small boy, or J as you know him, is learning new things. A few days ago he learned to shake his head ‘no’. I’m not sure how I feel about that development. I mean getting a waving arm in my face when he didn’t want something was not nice, but now he is applying “no” to more things than just what is on the spoon coming towards him…
Today he was in front of me so I reached out with my hands, and he pulled himself to stand just holding 2 fingers! Wow, usually he’s been so hesitant that he has to lean on me to do it. He did it several times today. And during R’s kindermusik class (sharing time for the last 10 minutes) he was trouble for the first time… meaning he didn’t want to just sit, he was wiggly, and he kept trying to crawl away. I just have to keep telling myself all this is good development….not just a pain in my behind. 🙂
