{"id":143,"date":"2007-03-03T20:43:38","date_gmt":"2007-03-03T20:43:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hecht-enns.com\/?p=143"},"modified":"2007-03-07T22:57:01","modified_gmt":"2007-03-08T02:57:01","slug":"chinese-new-year-welcome-year-of-the-pig","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.thingsthatgrowinmygarden.com\/?p=143","title":{"rendered":"Chinese New Year &#8211; Welcome year of the Pig"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today we celebrated Chinese New Year with our &#8220;Bamboo Bunch&#8221;, group of local families who have adopted from China.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 The kids had time to play together and do crafts before dinner.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 After dinner we were entertained with\u00c2\u00a0a Lion dance.\u00c2\u00a0 R remembered the Lion dance from last year and was quite nervous.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Daddy kept reassuring her that he would warn her before it started.\u00c2\u00a0 She was very fortunate to have a chance to touch the lion before the dance began.\u00c2\u00a0 It also helped that she could see the drummer.\u00c2\u00a0 She did very well during the dance.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 She loved the chance after to play on the drums with her friend G!!
