{"id":229,"date":"2007-10-03T21:35:26","date_gmt":"2007-10-04T01:35:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hecht-enns.com\/?p=229"},"modified":"2007-10-09T17:01:07","modified_gmt":"2007-10-09T21:01:07","slug":"how-do-i-respond","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.thingsthatgrowinmygarden.com\/?p=229","title":{"rendered":"How do I respond?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Things are getting more complex around our house.\u00c2\u00a0 R says things and I have no idea how to respond.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 The other day at breakfast R was making a sticky mess with her jam.\u00c2\u00a0 I said to her &#8220;R, I get very upset when you make such a mess with your sticky hands&#8221;.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Well doesn&#8217;t she respond with &#8220;Well I get upset when you talk to me like that!&#8221;\u00c2\u00a0 What a cheeky monkey!<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday on the way home from preschool, I ask her if she dressed up at school today, she replied &#8216;yes&#8217;.\u00c2\u00a0 So naturally I asked her &#8220;What did you dress up like&#8221;?\u00c2\u00a0 She responds with &#8220;As&#8221;.\u00c2\u00a0 I said &#8220;What??&#8221;\u00c2\u00a0 she replies &#8220;As&#8230;What did you dress up as, mummy&#8221;. Am I now taking grammer lessons from my 3 year old??
