{"id":261,"date":"2007-12-07T20:16:07","date_gmt":"2007-12-07T20:16:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hecht-enns.com\/?p=261"},"modified":"2007-12-10T20:08:41","modified_gmt":"2007-12-11T00:08:41","slug":"day-6-at-sea","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.thingsthatgrowinmygarden.com\/?p=261","title":{"rendered":"Day 6 &#8211; At Sea"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well we \u00e2\u20ac\u0153slept in\u00e2\u20ac\u009d today.\u00c2\u00a0 R woke us at 7:30am.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 This would have been great, if it hadn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t been a very restless night.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Anyways.\u00c2\u00a0 We went to visit Emilio and Ronnie, who took our Omelet order, then made it.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 After breakfast was swimming.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 It was a beautiful day, and the top dome of the pool was open.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 It was quite enjoyable to have the pool gently sloshing\u00c2\u00a0 back and forth with the rocking of the ship.\u00c2\u00a0 Lunch and nap came next.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>p><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Times New Roman\" size=\"3\">This evening\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s dinner was a mother\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s nightmare\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6It was formal night, so we were all dressed in our finery.\u00c2\u00a0 It started with the butter.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 R loves butter, and she attempted to butter her own piece of bread. \u00c2\u00a0This was ok, it involved butter falling out of her mouth, and her poking more with her finger to lick.\u00c2\u00a0 We put an end to that, got her settled with a nice piece of bread with a thick coating of butter. <\/font><font face=\"Times New Roman\" size=\"3\">Our waiter Andi, always brings R a beautiful fruit plate right away and tonight was no exception, except that today it was served in a Martini glass\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 See where this is heading?<\/p>\n<p>R was thrilled that there was a blackberry on top to eat, and promptly popped it in her mouth.\u00c2\u00a0 A moment later she decided she wanted to show it to me,\u00c2\u00a0 and it tumbled out of her mouth, bounced its way down her fancy dress, and onto the floor.\u00c2\u00a0 You know, one tiny blackberry can do a lot of damage.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 There were bits on her chin, all over her dress etc.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 At this point I take a deep breath.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Not 2 minutes later her fork drops to the ground.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 And another 2 minutes later another spoon bites the dust.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 This is all within the first 10 minutes of sitting remember.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 I almost had to go take a walk.\u00c2\u00a0 Oma ordered a ceasar salad, and R immediately wanted some.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 She took some with her fingers onto her own plate, and gave the rest back to Oma.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 She takes a bite of the lettuce, and spits it back onto her plate.\u00c2\u00a0 This is something she knows she is not supposed to do.\u00c2\u00a0 Another deep breath for the parents.<\/p>\n<p><\/font>She ate her supper more or less after that.\u00c2\u00a0 She and daddy had to go take a walk soon after while dishes we being cleared.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Daddy also had to reassure her that the dessert parade of baked Alaska\u00c2\u00a0 complete with sparklers would not be scary.
