Our hosts have a skating rink in their back yard, so R got to put her skates on again.  Know what? No crying about it today!  She was just happy.   She used her little pushy thing for a while, but would also leave it, and take baby steps on the ice.  N was delighted to help R out around the ice.  She is a very good skater herself.   They had a good time together, and R loved learning from her.   Well, I&#8217;m not quite telling the truth.  There were tears, but they happened at the end of skating when all the other kids went into the outdoor hot tub, and I had to break it to our daughter that I had not brought her swim suit.  Big melt down there.  Anyways.  I&#8217;m thrilled at her skating progress!  Oh, and I should mention that us bad parents did put her helmet on abour 30 seconds after she got on the ice!
