We knew there was a big snow storm coming, but at 8am, there was not a flake in sight.   It started around 9am, when I dropped R off at school.   The snow was falling heavily already.  I was glad I had on my YELLOW PARKA.  You just know it&#8217;s bad weather when I break out the YELLOW PARKA, it&#8217;s ready for any sort of snowstorm.   Anyways.  By the time I went to pick her up, the snow was already about 12 inches deep.   We slogged through, a friend of R&#8217;s from school was having all his classmates and parents over for lunch.  We had a great time.   (oh, and so did the kids!).   By the time we left around 2:30pm there was well over 18 inches.  Agh!  Digging out was a challenge, and it was a challenge even with snow tires to make it home.  The side streets were just deep, deep snow.
